This hits different when you've been there
Let me guess,
you've tried all of this
Sliding into stylists' DMs with your best work — Spent hours crafting the perfect message showcasing your strongest images, only to get left on read or receive a polite "thanks but we're not hiring right now"
Sending that same portfolio email to every agency you can find — Copy-pasted your way through every talent agency website, attaching the same PDF and crossing your fingers that someone, anyone, would see your potential
Taking unpaid gigs because "exposure" will pay off eventually — Said yes to every free opportunity thinking it would lead to paid work, but somehow you're just the go-to person for more unpaid work
Googling "stylist rates" at 2am — (we've all been there) — Falling down research rabbit holes trying to figure out if you should be asking for £500, £800, or £1200 per day, and somehow ending up more confused than when you started
Copying exactly what works for other people but getting zero results — Tried replicating the exact approach you saw someone else use successfully, but when you do it, it falls completely flat
Sound about right?

Here's the thing nobody's telling you
The fashion industry runs on invisible rules. There are conversations happening, systems in place, and ways of working that nobody posts about on Instagram.
You're not failing because you're not good enough. You're struggling because you don't know how the game actually works.

Most "how to work in fashion" advice is surface level. It tells you to "network" and "build a great portfolio" but never explains:

✱ How stylists actually hire assistants (hint: it's not through job boards)
✱What makes someone an instant yes vs an instant pass
✱The real conversations that happen before you even know a job exists
✱Why some assistants get repeat bookings while others get forgotten

The difference? Strategy over hustle.
A Sustainable Career as
a Fashion Stylist means:
Charging rates that reflect your expertise — and feeling confident negotiating them
Having consistent clients who respect your creative vision instead of scrambling for every job
Building multiple income streams so you're not dependent on one type of work
Working with people who value what you bring rather than treating you as replaceable
Having the freedom to turn down projects that don't align with your values or creative goals
Setting boundaries that protect your time and creative energy without feeling guilty about it

Week One

Creative clarity, direction, and balance. This isn't about starting from scratch — it's about re-aligning with the kind of stylist or creative you actually want to be. Whether you're just starting in the industry or evolving into a new phase, this week is about getting clear. What's working? What's draining you? What needs to shift? We'll talk burnout, motivation, niche, values, and creative confidence — so you can move forward with purpose, not pressure.
Week Three

Real-world process, job structures, and income clarity. From timelines to sourcing, returns to relationships — we unpack what it really takes to run styling jobs well. You'll explore ways to work more sustainably, protect your time, and make styling actually support your life. You'll leave this week with a mapped-out plan for the next 3-6 months, designed around your priorities and energy.
Week Five

Structure, workflow, and sustainable practices. Building the behind-the-scenes foundation that supports consistent growth. We'll create your personal workflow systems for pitching, job management, client communication, and creative development. This week focuses on making your career feel manageable and sustainable, not chaotic.
Week Two

Portfolio, positioning, and client-facing presence. How you present yourself is what gets you booked. This week we refine the core materials that show your value — from bios and About Me pages to pitch emails, lookbooks, and decks. We'll cover how to talk about your process (fitting, prep, post-production), and how to position yourself for better collaborations and bigger opportunities.
Week Four

Momentum, confidence, and visibility. Time to move. This week is about taking action: submitting your pitch, updating your bio, reconnecting with clients or collaborators, and showing up visibly online. You'll be supported every step of the way by the group — and leave with a clear structure to keep going, even when motivation dips or life gets busy.
Week Six

Long-term vision, industry relationships, and next-level planning. Turning your 6-week momentum into a 12-month strategy. We'll map your career expansion, identify key relationships to build, plan your creative projects, and set up systems for ongoing growth. This isn't the end — it's the beginning of your self-led momentum.
Plus you get:
6 Weekly Group Sessions
2-hour focused calls every Wednesday covering career strategy, industry insights, and practical tools. Small groups for personalised attention.
Structured Learning Platform
Access to resources, templates, and frameworks after each session. Complete tasks at your own pace between calls.

The Fashion Mentorship Program is a must for Stylists!

Having done several university Stylist short courses, I can confidently say that I learned the most from Emily and her team. The knowledge and ins and outs of the industry she candidly shares during the Stylist Elixir Program are so valuable to anyone who wants to be a stylist. Thank you for being so kind and honest, Emily. I'll forever be grateful for what I've learned and the support I received.
Sacha
I'm so glad I did this program. Looking back, I realise I had no real plan of action—or even a clear idea—of how to begin my journey as an aspiring stylist. I was approaching it from the wrong angle entirely.
What I appreciated most was that it didn’t just focus on the ‘successful’ stage of a stylist’s career. It showed us how to work our way up from intern or assistant to stylist, step by step.
I now have a clear plan, a deeper understanding of the industry, and most importantly, I feel more confident and excited to get started.
I’d recommend the Fashion Mentorship Program to anyone who wants to learn from scratch or strengthen the knowledge they already have.
Doing this mentorship has given me so much insight into what styling is.
I really feel as though becoming a stylist will be much, much easier, as Emily was an amazing mentor, answering all of my questions and making it very easy to understand even at the entry level. I feel so much more knowledgeable about styling and the industry as a whole.
I’m so grateful to have done the Fashion Mentorship Program.
This program is for you if:
You're serious about this — Not just testing the waters or hoping for a quick fix. You're ready to treat fashion styling like the real career it is.

You're tired of guessing — Done with piecing together random advice from Instagram and Reddit threads. You want someone to just tell you how it actually works.
.png)
You're ready to invest in yourself — Whether you're starting from scratch or been assisting for a while without progress, you know that getting the right guidance now saves years of mistakes.
.png)
You want to work smarter, not harder — You'd rather learn the system once and use it forever than keep throwing things at the wall hoping something sticks.

You're based anywhere — While I'm UK-based, these strategies work globally. I've helped people build careers in London, New York, Paris, Lagos, Mumbai, and beyond.
This isn't for you if:
✘
You're looking for guaranteed job placement — I teach strategy and systems, not magic. You still need to put in the work.
✘
You want to stay in your comfort zone — Real career growth requires stepping up, having money conversations, and positioning yourself professionally.
✘
You're hoping for overnight results — Building a sustainable career takes time. This gives you the roadmap, but you need to walk the path.

The math is simple: If this program helps you book just 2-3 jobs at proper rates, it's paid for itself. Everything after that is profit
Here's what this is actually worth
Think about it: One styling job at £800/day pays for more than half this program. But this isn't just about landing one job—it's about building a career that consistently books you at those rates.

The ROI is simple:
✱ Stop taking £50/day jobs you're overqualified for
✱ Start booking £500-800+ day rates with confidence
✱ Build relationships that lead to repeat bookings
✱ Never wonder "what should I charge?" again

Most people spend years figuring this out through expensive mistakes, awkward conversations, and missed opportunities. You're getting all of it condensed into 6 weeks.
The Founder
I'm Emily Tighe, the founder of Stylist Elixir. My journey in the fashion industry began as many do—full of aspiration, creativity, and an eagerness to learn. Over the years, working extensively as a freelance stylist, I encountered firsthand the challenges faced by creatives in fashion: isolation, lack of transparent guidance, and limited access to mentorship.

Stylist Elixir was born from a deep personal commitment to change this narrative. I founded this platform not just to educate aspiring stylists, but to empower a global community of fashion creatives by providing practical resources, real-life insights, and the kind of supportive community I wish I’d had when starting out.
Driven by lived experience, honest conversations, and continuous collaboration with industry peers, Stylist Elixir is my response to the gaps I saw—and felt—in fashion education and professional support.
Whether you're here for mentorship, community connection, or to deepen your industry knowledge, my mission remains clear: to make your journey in fashion feel more informed, less isolating, and genuinely supported.
